The All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA Abia State has announced the commencement of membership registration and revalidation for old and new members wishing to join the party in Abia State.
In a communiqué jointly signed by the Abia State Chairman of the party, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere and the Ag. State Secretary Hon. Uche Nwosu after an enlarged Executive meeting of the party at its state secretariat in Umuahia, the party disclosed that it chose to commence the membership registration earlier than it had intended due to the volume of request from Abia residents wishing to officially join the APGA family and enjoined those wishing to join APGA to visit the APGA Ward Chairmen/offices nearest to them for registration and obtaining of their membership cards.
The Party disclosed that the registration exercise would commence on Tuesday the 28th day of March, and end on Friday 28th April, 2017. Assessing its activities in the last one year, the leadership of the party expressed joy on the ability of the party to consolidate its place not just as a formidable opposition party in Abia, but as a virile democratic platform speaking for the people of Abia State in ensuring that democracy is deepened in Abia.
The party also disclosed that it is presently on a tour of the seventeen Local Government Areas of the State and meeting with members on ground to ensure that there is absolute peace, harmony and tranquility to enable the party remain alive and active in propagating its message of change and good governance, especially at the grassroots.
The high point of the meeting was a resolution commending the administrative giant strides of the party’s BOT Chairman and Anambra State governor Chief Wille Obiano in Anambra State, the effort of the National Chairman Ozo Victor Ike Oye at ensuring unity in the party, and the sustained efforts of a foremost Nigerian Banker and the party’s Abia governorship candidate in the last election, Dr. Alex Otti whose entrance into the party completely changed party politics and governance in Abia state for the better.
The state executive also unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the state Chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere for his humble disposition and inclusive leadership which has seen the party grow from strength to strength at all levels.
