A ccording to him, the competition is put together for the people to put in their best and get reward for their performances.
As the maiden edition, it is the intension of the organizers to make it a continuous event. In his words, “ in this edition were have brought in mentors to pick one or two persons or group to be trained for the future especially those interested in the line of music”.
On the issue of why such event was called up at a time like this, Pastor Omage says, as one who has been involved in music for years, he realised that music is close to God’s heart and when people comes together like this to praise God miracle happens. When asked of the challenges faced in picking participants, he said advert s were placed out and the appropriate people responded.
According to Omagbe, the present gospel singers are really doing well and of higher standard compared to the time past especially those who have taken time out to seek the face of God. He said those who are not doing well, as still in the process of growing in the industry. He advise the youth to learn to grow, it is not a day journey as such there is the need to be patient, to take a step after the other.
