Jigawa State Police Command says it will address all the challenges of Kidnapping, cattle rustling and armed robbery who have been terrorising communities in the state.
The newly appointed Commissioner Police in the state, Mr Rasheed Akintunde, made this known when he paid a familiarisation visit to the Secretary, Jigawa State Government, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini, within the week.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, the Spokesperson of the SSG.
He said the Police remains determined to end insecurity in the state and the country at large.
Mr Akintunde explained that with the support of the state government, Jigawa Police Command will deal with armed robbers, kidnappers and cattle rustlers.
He assured that the state government and people of the state will soon be free of kidnappers, cattle rustlers and other crimes. Responding, Alhaji Fanini assured the new police Chief of the continued support and cooperation of the state government towards achieving the desired objectives especially on security.
Jigawa is one of the states in Nigeria with least security challenges but in recent times, reports emanating from Gwaram Local Government shows that kidnappers are fast establishing dens in the area.
