The presidency has reacted statements credited to Ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan who says his former national security adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki did not steal $2.1bn contrary to the accusation by the EFCC.
The presidency says only the court can decide the fate of former NSA at this stage. The deputy national publicity secretary of the APC, Mr. Timi Frank, urges Jonathan to assist Dasuki to make his case in court.
However, a civil society organization has lambasted Nigeria’s former president Goodluck Jonathan over comments he made on $2.1 billion arms deal.
The Coalition against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) said the former president was only making effort to prepare his own defence over the case. The group said the former president would eventually be called to answer for his own deeds.
