The Plateau state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Dayyabu Garga has through his scholarship scheme empowers over fifty Students and other beneficiaries during medical outreaches in Plateau state.
It is believe that the Honourable Commissioner has conquered poverty amidst his rural dwellers and the state in general through his philanthropist gesture. The Hon. Dayyabu Garga has help in reducing poverty in the rural communities in Kanam, Plateau state, he has not only proven his mettle as a rare leader in his society. Garga says “this is service to humanity and mankind and it is my mission on earth as I believe in re-shaping society for the betterment of all”
He has vowed to bring smiles on the faces of the down trodden and the needy through this humanitarian pilgrimage ,Hon Dayyabu Garga sponsored free medical outreach to Kanam people and also renovated a primary school at Lugur under Garga district.
Considering the water necessity in life and seeing how his people are suffering , Hon Garga dug borehole at Dada and Garga respectively to cushion the effect. According to him, two of the students sponsored are now graduates one from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria while the second at Bayero university Kano .
As a public civil servant ,he has successfully superintend ended the emergence of the three Paramount rulers without rancor or bloodshed in Plateau state which include, the Paramount rulers of Afizere ,Ogomo Pengana and the recently coroneted Long Goemai of Gamai Nation ,the statement stated .
The commissioner also superintended the reinstatement of some chiefdoms and village areas in the state. Hon Dayyabu Garga quest to empower the young men and women educationally as one of passion to rid the society out of ignorance and complacency has registered several students to sit for WAEC,NECO and JAMB. He has trained over 50 youths on skin acquisition to be self-reliance.
