Reps member backs call for restructuring of Nigeria

A member representing Balli/Gassol Federal Constituency from Taraba State in the National Assembly Hon. Garba Chede has added his voice for the restructuring of Nigeria and also call on Nigerians to embrace, Peace and Unity amongs the society in the country.

He made the call during an interview with journalists in Abuja and said that there is no any meaningful development under the atmosphere of crises.

The lawmaker said the eighteen years of Nigeria  uninterrupted democracy had witness tremendous progress and shows that Nigeria Democracy is growing speedily added that legislatures are always ready to make and support good laws that will contribute positively to the Peace, Progress and Development of the Nation also impact positively to the lives of the citizens.

Hon. Chede added that the call by some part of Nigerians for restructuring is in order if it will solve the nation problems of the country in order to move the nation economy forward and provide employment amongs teeming Nigerian youths.

He expressed worried over the call by some part of the country to control the resource in their area added that before the discovering of oil Federal Government use groundnut and cotton money to build the nation economy, so what we need now is transparency, accountability in all government work by our leaders in the country in order to make progress and move the nation forward economically, also he commended the Federal Government under Buhari Administration on the fight against insurgency and corruption in the country that positively help to move the nation economy forward.

He said for equal justice and transparency the previous administration of former president Late Umar Musa Yar Adua established ministry of Niger Delta and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) also create amnesty programmes for repented Militant in the South-South oil producing states in order to move the nation forward economically. Also the lawmaker said the call by some Nigerians for the establishment of state police is not good to our nation democracy, we have to wait but time is not yet ready for that, now.

Hon. Cede appeals to Nigerians to give support and cooperation to the A.P.C lead government under president Muhammadu Buhari that Federal Government will create more jobs opportunities to the teeming Nigerians youths and bring more developmental projects that will impacted positively to the lives of Nigerians very soon. Also the lawmaker commended the South East elders Forum stand on united Nigeria that show patriotism and will move the nation forward.
