His Excellency, Harry Purwanto , Ambassador of Indonesia to Nigeria displaying skills on the keyboard at the Bazaar
It was like visiting Indonesia right here in Abuja recently as the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with Indonesian Ladies Association organized a bazaar, with the theme “Taste of Indonesia Bazaar 2016” , at the Ambassador’s residence in Maitama, Abuja. This year’s event is special because all the proceeds will go to charity, which will be donated as educational fund, granted to 9 Nigerian children who have shown great achievements in schools. It is hoped that the fund will assist their family in coping with school fees.
The bazaar, which was opened for public, offered the visitors to taste the cultural products of Indonesia being the traditional cuisines such as Gado-Gado, Siomay, Chicken Satay, Nasi Kapau, ,as well as some signature Indonesian souvenirs, like necklace and Batik. During the event, performances such as Yapong Dance, Indang Dance, Yamko Rambe Yamko Dance, and a medley of 7 Indonesian traditional songs are also showcased.
