The Chairman Transition Management Committee of Potiskum Local Government Area in Yobe State, Alhaji Muhammad Musa Potiskum, has restated his administration’s commitment towards providing more developmental projects aimed at bringing succour to the people.
The Chairman gave this assurance while speaking to Daily Stream shortly after his endorsement as APC candidate in the forth-coming LG elections in the state. He thanked the stakeholders for choosing him as the APC candidate to contest and occupy the chairmanship seat in the forth-coming February 2017 LG polls in the state. “I was endorsed irrespective of my tribe and religion. They unanimously agreed that I should contest; I thank them for the honour and I promise to justify the confidence reposed in me.”
According to him, his administration has reconnected the Central Market in the Council headquarter
and enacted several laws, saying, “We have intensified campaign against open defeacation to forestall cholera and other water borne diseases.” The council boss pledged to execute other projects after election which includes: construction of drainage across Potiskum to control erosion, sand filling of streets, reconstruction of the LG Secretariat vandalised by Boko Haram, construction of Councillors’ office block, construction of Ngojin road, Garin Bingel to Bula road and Danchuwa-Jajere road and others to numerous to mention.”
Speaking on his achievements in office in the last one year, he highlighted the construction of clinics, rehabilitation of Potiskum-Kano road, grading of six rural and urban roads across the council area, amongst others.
